Who am I?
My name is Andrew Bradshaw. I am a recent graduate of the University of the South in Sewanee, TN with a major in Anthropology and French Studies, and I am currently employed by the French Ministry of Education with a one year position to teach English as a second language and American culture to French students at the middle school and high school level. I also have an affinity for the great outdoors, music, and culinary traditions.
The main motivation for accepting this position is to have the opportunity to live and subsist in France, but I also want to do it to negate certain stereotypes of American and French cultures formed by the French and American populations. I view this job as an opportunity to improve my skills in both French and Anthropology and as a chance to show the French a different type of American.
This website is intended to inform those who are interested about the daily happenings and interactions of my life over the next year. It will also show many of the sites and sounds of my adventures both inside and outside of France through photos, videos, and the written word. Please click on any of the links at the top of the page to explore my adventures. I hope you like it!
